The 2013 EMESP Prestige Lecture - "UK ENERGY: THE SHALE GAS OPPORTUNITY" - took place at the Albert Hall Conference Centre, North Circus Street, Nottingham, NG1 5AA on Wednesday 27th November at 7:30pm. The Lecture was given by Dr Tim Fox - Head of Energy and Environment at the IMechE.

In particular he focused on the contribution that a regional shale gas industry could make to a rebalancing of the nation’s skewed economy, as well as the emerging need to reinforce the Government’s commitment to the development and deployment of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology for use with gas fired power plant.
